Disagree big time, some BBC girls are very pretty, wear nice clothes and have a beautiful feminine demeanour. I love the arty fashion types, it s not so much about having crude cleavage etc which is shallow and turn off. As to whether they date chinese guys (which they do, if you look cool) or white guys etc that's a new blog altogether. Edison got a great taste of beauty but he's not a nice guy.
Yes, I think so too. Its a crude aesthetic illustration that compare models from one part of the world to another, Chinese girls in general don't really have a cleavage, many have implants, those FOB girls that are obsessed with their appearance are usually kong lui bitches, discussed here.
The Kong Lui debate applies to both HK Shanghai and BBC girls too- basically westernised Chinese girls. Money and presents being the main thing and they fall under the Ying Fun category- date you and act like they are doing you a favour.
You dont get that attitude as much with mainlander FOBS.Northerners even less so. Unfortunately when you have BBC girls that are pig-ugly + Kong Lui attitude on top its a complete turn off. No thanks.
Ugly westernised priveleged girls vs pretty nice personality non-priveleged girls? Says it all, doesnt it? Pretty westernised BBC girls with nice personality... a rarity.
BBC girls = too westernised, ugly and cant speak chinese, thats why no Chinese men (neither bbc nor fob guys) want to marry them and why IR rate is so high. These bbc girls fall well below the FOB beauty standard and have no choice but to marry white black etc.
There are no white male chinese female couples that are hot looking.
Two aesthetically good looking parents do not necessarily produce good looking children, besides the problem still remains that for every BBC female that marries a non-chinese, BBC males have to follow suit (or marry a FOB)thus the dilution spirals out of control. Discussed here
Uglyness imo is not looks - its the personality. If they have a nice personality itll shin through the layers of make up foundation.
Another thing is the ability to debate. Girls obsessed with themselves rarely have anything worthwhile to say. Being a person who gets bored easily, if im having a conversation with a hello kitty cake recipe talking LV bag ...I would politely walk away.
All you need to do is read the lame dimsum website rubbish and you can see how shallow and lack of BBC political awareness the women (and men) have, the turtlemother (adjacent blog) who looks like bruce forsyth, totally does not want to engage the subject matter of chinese identity with any intellectual or sociological or cultural perspective, other that sticking her ugly chin out for herself.
Brucie bonus marrying a white male gives the older gen of BBC female some kind of bourgouisis white privelige. Hence cake recipies and all the rubbish they discuss on dim sum and the like.
Once they are protected and safe in their white world bubble they are free to look at other Chinese as 'exotic' because they are now removed from the culture, and can basically behave like a white bourgoisis. and without any serious respect for Chinese culture, Hapas are brought up to behave the same way.
adulation of western culture teaches all chinese to see their culture as orientalised once they have married out, left, etc etc.
Well, Chinese men in general aren't much better looking whether BBC or 'FOB' so I guess it goes both ways. Are you surprised why so many Chinese women go for white men... they're usually better looking and I haven't heard any of them compare BBC and 'FOB' women the way they have been on here.
but chinese women seldom attract the 'good looking' white men, they usually attract the nerdy geeky ones or the much older ugly ones who look much older than their actual age. I've never seen a Chinese female White male hot couple in my life.
I think most hot white guys would probably choose hot white girls as they tend to have better bodies and are more sexy than chinese in general. Back to my main point, more often than not, even the nerdy geeky white dude is better looking than the average Chinese guy.
Funny how it's OK for you to compare BBC and 'FOB' women but take offence when men are compared. I can't really compare BBC and 'FOB' men as they can look quite similar (especially with the younger generation of China students) sometimes I can't tell them apart. Having heard a lot of BBC girls' conversations, most can tell you that white men in general are better looking compared to Chinese men, in fact so do many other races as your article suggests:
If they want to change the subject to a completely different discussion, let them write an article and submit it via email. Email is in the link below:
I'm gay so I don't pay attention to straight culture enough. I have seen pretty white guys dating chinese guys. I have never seen a gay black guy in real life, or a white guy dating a black guy, in London.
Don't be so against BBC. Chinese people are everywhere in porn. You can't say that about Indians or Blacks!
This article does nothing to help the state of BBC identity today. If BBC women hate BBC men, and now BBC men hate BBC women - well, what's the point. You might as well line up all the ethnic Chinese with roots in Britain and shoot them all.
First off, women AND men should not be so superficial about beauty. yes, beauty is subjective etc. but also not as relevant to keeping our identity, as rare as it is, in a predominately westernised and subtlety Chinese hating region of the world...this means that men AND women should be sticking up for our race when it is attacked - not shying away from the issue like you see 99% of the time. This goes especially for women, though a recent high profile example of this is Jeremy Lin. He had the perfect opportunity to say what all ethnic Chinese/East Asians were saying - with the world (at least America's media) listening - but he took the PC way out. "Oh it's no big deal to me". Idiot.
The REAL ugliness is from ethnic Chinese mentality to bow down to white culture, white identity, to the point that if we didn't look ourselves in the mirror or remember our name or know our parents, we'd consider ourselves white.
Haha, British Black footballers are even worse though. Have you noticed when there's racist remark by a (ex)manager or a (ex)player i.e John Terry, you have a ton of Black players keeping completely silent or funnily a ton of Black players coming out in support of the racist! John Terry had lots of 'Black' players defending him.
BTW, you raise good points, I will cover shying away from racism and white worship in my next article. Incidently, you can also contribute articles, just email an article to the email address on my profile and I'll publish it in your name.
That leads you judge a man on appearances, a couple on appearance, and explains why you notice Chinese women with not-so-hot white. Guess they see what's inside a man. probably also turn to judge hot guys' superficial hotness rarely runs deep.
Ok, for a start the video in the beginning is a load of rubbish. Some of the BBC girls were just as pretty as the pure Chinese girls! Being mixed does not make you ugly!
My mother is a beautiful full-blood Chinese woman who married a handsome English/Arab man! So your point that there are no handsome mixed couples out in the world is a load of rubbish. Have you met every single mixed married couple out there?
I am a mixed Chinese BBC woman married to a full-blood Chinese man born in China. He has no qualms about me and considers me beautiful.
Yes, the BBC girls may be a little larger, so what? Everyone has their own view of beauty. Who are you to generalise and make the sweeping comment that ALL BBC girls are ugly and ALL full-blood Chinese women are beautiful? That is your opinion, that does not make it fact.
You seem quite self conscious about being considered a mixed ugly person. As long as your Chinese husband cares, seriously I think you shouldnt bother posting here, it will only make you more insecure.
By the way... you go on about BBC's not being pretty blah blah blah, when infact they are. That video was obviously selective as all the 'FOB's were modelling poses whereas others were webcam pictures (and were still pretty). But if two FOBs are living in UK and have a child, their child wont be a FOB, it will be a BBC. So are you going to hate your own child?
That's the childs problem and whoever finds him or her attractive. This article is not about hate. Please. I wish you all the best in China. Be strong. And confident. Not like us self-hating Chinese. And dont forget to save face. Lots of it.
Omg this is SO ridiculous how is it that no one has yet pointed out that it is immensely subjective and also that every "Fob" picture used was a picture of a model whereas every "BBC" picture used was not! Seriously just laughable...
As a first time visitor to the site I was deciding whether to revisit, but if 'BBCZeitgeist' is the administrator.. then no thanks. I would of thought the admin would be more respectable.
perhaps with BBC girls being mostly of cantonese ancestry? cantonese clan are the aesthetically least liked among all chinese. within china, the connotations tagged with cantonese are hardly ever on the positive, be it the language(unpleasant to ear), physical features(short, stout, darker, wide flat nose, thick lips, big jaw), manner(loud and rough), mindset(simplistic, shallow, obsessed with only food and money). the warm weather in the south makes evolution slower there than in the north. less evolved = aesthetically less appealing, for both look and brain.
the fact that the first few few generation of overseas chinese aound the world are of cantonese origin has a lot to do with them being the less competitive log and being driven to leave their homeland to seek better oppotunities elsewhere. generally speaking, chinese is not a migratory race and is reluctant to leave home for adventure unless being desperate. tne ancestors of many overseas cantonese actually represent the lowest level of human resource of china at their time.
^comedian of the year! Though despite the obvious the very pro-mainland pro-mandarin stance of the comment, as a Cantonese there is still a lot of truth in what you say though the obvious attempt to insult - 'warm weather in the south makes evolution slower there than in the north. less evolved = aesthetically less appealing, for both look and brain' can be dismissed.
brain and look go hand in hand which is why the mentally challenged rarely (if ever) looks appealing.
the weak is vulnerable to be victimized but if cantonese cannot cope with the truth, and feel victimized by the truth, they can have my sympathy and thats about it.
If you want to engage in some pathetic history of china, history of China's linguistics and history of China's migration 'fight,' I suggest you take your FOB issues to a China blog or China forum. This is not a China blog, this is a BBC blog, it has nothing to do with those issues.
Its so transparent what your agenda is and why you're posting on here. You're clearly only posting on here to attack Cantonese in the hope of engaging someone who is Cantonese into a fight.
Warning: If you persist on posting any new comments attacking Cantonese, I will remove ALL your existing posts for trolling violation.
u speak as if u r wearing moral high heel. racism(anti-white) is a key note of this blog, as least its how i have sensed it.
part of ur identity includes chinese right? why would china or chinese history be out of place here? my comment is totally relevant here and pins the key why overseas chinese decendants(mostly of cantonese origin) appear to be less attractive.
a rotten and corrupt regime also cannot cope with truth which is why they exercise vigorous censorship to stop truth from being unfold. delete as u wish. this is ur backyard.
Racism by Whites on Chinese has a fundamental impact on Chinese diaspora as we live in an western country as minority Ethnic Chinese, we have to react to it.
However, China or China's history, has little relevance to BBCs unless it has impact on the Chinese in the UK - which is usually sinophobia related. I give you an example of British Blacks history, it largely begins with 'windrush,' anything before that is just introductory background to set context.
Thats why the typical topics raised by those who post on Pro-China forums on China's fighter jets, her regional foreign policy, history of linguistics and migration, dynasty history - these types of issues- in most cases absolutely nothing to do with BBC's in the UK.
BBC's are born and raised in the UK, they were not raised in the Southern hemisphere, there is no 'southern sunshine' to negatively impact on their 'dumb brain.' Most BBC's have never even been to China.
Btw, I do not engage in 'vigorous' censorship. All of your posts have been published live, unmoderated, probably less than 3% of comments on the blog are removed legitimately for violation. Try posting your comments on Neehao or Madam Miaow and see how many of your comments manage to get published, then you'll see what moderation is.
This topic requires a female viewpoint, since it's classic male baiting for hatred and confrontation. FOBs will always look more sincere and serene. Culture in this country ensures femine traits are best binned, so FOBs tend to be from a by-gone era where they blink slowly and believe that if they can afford expensive designer cloths and bags they are likely to succeed in what ever they do.
BBC ladies tend to be more toned down and tanned. The first sign that lack of warm weather can turn you brown. Where have you seen that before? Which one looks better?
Well, I believe bow-legged wide eyed girls who look like they might faint from the weight of two desgigner bags on their arms seem to remind me of high maintenance wives whilst BBCs who have learned from a young age that looks is not everything, and life can be a fight, I think it's personality over looks any day. Sorry FOB girls...SF.
And I hope a change for the better. Some of the other discussions often descend into one-liners purely for insulting. Having said that, this kind of topic is worth discussing, because it touches on culture and the outcome.
Men's taste in women and what they really feel when they see new arrivals in the shape of rich princesses coming here to study and economic migrants who may have another agenda when arriving here.
I have noticed that many FOBs are very wealthy, often quite spoilt by their trappings, and perhaps not their fault. They will have been fed a diet of Westtern craving TV shows and magazines and enter this country thinking everyone dresses like the models on the catwalk. They end up looking like Emperor's New Clothes.
There's an in joke between us BBCs who can muse at the shallowlistic sides to these FOBs. They look at us in sorrow. One once said to my sister "I knew you were born here. Your shoes are scuffed and you don't make use of your figure." Then she spends her days telling my sister how much her sister spent on plastic surgery and breast enhancement just so she can enter the Taiwan TV market. Can you see why I posted what I posted? That was just one.
which FOBs are you talking about? the Hong Kong international school types? or the private educated types from mainland cities?
I agree the female perspective will be very interesting and provide a different insight, but you're not going to get much of a comparison between the two groups of females as they dont mix, they don't really know much about each other. BBC females friends will be mostly white girls or other BBC females. They also seem to refuse to openly attack each other, instead they just ignore each other. I've never seen a bbc female and a fob female of the same young age have a verbal or physical fight for example over 'cultural' discrepancies.
@BBCZeitgeist, apologies for lack of detail there. The FOB I referred to was a little broad and was actually an international student from Hong Kong but her parents and herself only recently moved to Hong Kong. She was what my parents would term "mainlander", so not sure how she could be categorised.
Her parents were quite wealthy and from what I heard, her parents were funding her education to the tune of around £20,000 per year. I would personally categories her under Hong Kong international types. She spoke only in Mandarin. When she stayed at my place over one Christmas, she was going on and on about putting on one single pound. She would (without shame)insist her photo get taken again if it didn't match her exacting standards. She was a laugh really, but a little too much. Please note, I do not base my opinions of FOB ladies based on this one student.
The only good thing I like about her was her directness. Something that seems to be missing here in the UK. She would say it as it is. SF.
haha, one of those, the transnational international migrating types, they are the worst excess of the modern wealthy mainland Chinese female, an extreme example, but sure - point taken.
1. UK has lots of dairy. That usually adds to our weight issues. Ok in your words - Fat 2. The pictures of FOBs in the vid were either airbrushed or used super skinny models. Plus lighting. Plus makeup. Plus unnatural hair. Never heard of a Chinese girl with semi ginger hair unless she was albino or what you call an ugly cross breed 3. Isn't the love of pure breeding most popular in a dog show anyway? 4. Chinese don't need to hate themselves and I don't think putting blatantly anti women & anto mixed race remarks online 'saves face'. It just makes us look more up our a**e. 5. No, I don't take it up the a**e like your kind think us BBC girls do. 6. Karen Mok aint exactly what you call white skinned. Not many would say no to her. 7. Certain parts of this world tend to view the Jewish and Chinese culture as quite similiar 8. BBCs have time to hate other BBCs. If they do it's through reading articles such as this one. 9. Kristine Kruek versus short alpha far eastern fella with glasses and bowl haircut whose idea of casual dressing is a flannel shirt, baseball cap and jeans from Asda. I think we know who wins in the looks department hands down 10. Ok so you think us BBC girls need to act more like our mainland sisters? In that case expect more lewdy ole fellas thinking they can buy us straight out of a catalogue thinking we luv them long time. or getting isolated, patronised and bullied at school and work cos we not much more than 'scented butterflies who have no grasp on local customs and have that 'adorable cring cring accent'. or tragically still, getting stamped on the chest by some fat white prejudiced bloke, God rest her soul.
I can't stay away from this topic really. I do find it intriging because it's quite a male dominated topic. Anyone notice how FOBs tend to always dress like it's sub-tropical? The other day, I noticed so many wearing shorts and mini skirts even though it's been unseasonably cold and windy. Anyone care to share FOB fashion sense?
There is no doubt they have far milkier tones (my mother would love that) that shows grace and femininity according to old-school Chinese. I personally don't buy this farmer inspired view.
BBC women tend to be the southern types, with broader facial features and deeper pigmentation. The style tends to be dress down rather than dress up as seen with many FOB students. For once, an LV bag is not a status symbol in the west, but a symbol of Chav-dom, therefore any BBC woman seen with one is distinctively out of tune with popular culture. SF.
Id agree that BBC women dress down.Jeans.Or the black stockings with black skirt and grey top and white shirt.FOB fashion sense depends on where they are from. Shanghai girls have that zig zagged Shanghai pattern about their clothing. Very textile patterny style and chic. Some Northerner Beijing women either powerdress, with this white jacket shoulder pad type fashion ,like something out of an episode of that 80s American tv programme Dynasty or white puffa jacket if students.
Mainland student female FOBS dress downwards, similar to BBCs, Southern mainlanders tend to wear black.Hong Kong females with their red-dyed haired black t-shirted black jeaned boyfriends in London ive noticed wear legging stockings, and pink stripe t-shirts,and on a hot sunny day, a few looking a bit punky like that early 2000's male/female couple band the White Stripes.
BBC women do have bigger faces, havent seen to many with the deep pigmentation, but there was a hottie, with a slim figure, I saw recently with some nice tanned waxed legs in a grey side-split work-skirt.
There was another today, with tanned skin and quite curvy figure, not fat. long black hair, she was quite dark though. Almost filipinoesque in complexion but no, Chinese features, long black hair.
Havent seen either with the miniskirts, except maybe in Chinatown a FOB girl with black stockings heels and her designer glasses wearing boyfriend. She looked kind of, awkward looking. Meaning, I felt she was trying to make an over-the top effort to flash her legs.Mainlander or HKer couldnt tell.
As for what is considered popular culture for todays dress sense for either men or women I wouldnt know, not being a particularly fashionable person, myself.
NO way some BBC girls are not born ugly, katie leung despite her acting credentials is "pretty". Some BBCs punch above their weight by wearing the "right" clothes and getting the "right" look which isn't tarty or flash but cool in an understated way. My opinions FOBs go wrong when they don't wear their age such as not giving up the student hoodies look, or the older triady types who still trying hard to be bad "boyband". They should go for tailored shirts, slim not skinny trousers and light shoes, that sorts the cool men from boys who can't get away from the wok lol. I once went for an interview where the boss was chinese who thought she was sophisticated simply by flashing the big brands, I was not impressed, the bad spoken english and accent gave it away.
I agree some BBCs have 'the cool in an understated way'look.
Funny thing is I did see some BBC couples in town, months back, younger couples with crazy bleach blonde hair punk style and white vest tops, Bad boyband style. I thought they were FOBS like you said,by their dress-sense but no, they werent because the Londoner accent gave it away. Quite surprising.
Id hazard a guess and say they couldve read my article where I was labelling them hipsters and they went in the extreme opposite direction, but no doubt Im giving this blog too much credit for BBC cultural influence.
Happybritishchinese, are you sure you haven't seen them in minis? It's almost de-rigeur. There was a comment made earlier about BBC women want to be judged on appearance. And that clubbing is the barometre of showing flesh. What the author fails to admit, the same goes for the new generations of FOB women here.
Very often, humility is part of the fashion culture here. Too much is not seen as classy. Something seldom seen with mainland females. They see a new designer piece, and they want it. Not one piece, the whole set. Sometimes, they end up looking like "look at me!" as they charge down the road. I believe FOB women definitely want to be noticed. They do use clothing as expression to the max. BBC women tend to be more subdued.
But are they uglier? As you said, Happybritishchinese, we have wider faces. Often darker pigmentation. Are these western influenced ideals. Slim face, porcelain skin and slight. Southern girls tend to be shorter, whereas Beijng babes tend to have implants and false eyelashes. Without these add-ons,they can seem bland. Reading the comments here, men are just men, like the superficials. Women might as well stand on a turntable for them to ogle at. SF.
Yes I think I wrote above I saw one FOB with her boyfriend with a mini showing off her thick stockinged legs. But no, not sure where you are viewing them, but where I go about town, I just saw the one.
I agree FOB women want to be noticed but like I think i said students ( FOB and BBC) tend to play it down. I think I also said, in my comment above two BBC women I saw that were quite attractive. In my earlier comments it was just some experience ive had in meeting some BBC women, who were as I said, pigfaced Kong Luis, but that was a while ago.
I like tanned skin. Im not normally into porcelain skin, but I dont think all Beijing women have that porcelain skin. When I was in Guangzhou I saw this incredible hottie that had pale skin, nicely made up, revealing velvet green dress, checking her phone, big eyelashes. slim sexy, body I couldnt take my eyes off her. Mesmerizing. Point being that this was the 'south' and unless she was a visitor, she had pale skin.
SF dont let this article make you paranoid, you will find your prince charming, just relax. Your intellectual verbosity is quite interesting for a BBC female, just wish you wouldnt defend Gok Wan like he is the lifeblood of the British Chinese community.
Happybritishchinese, don't worry, I have thick skin,(ha ha)so the writings on this topic makes some interesting if anything one-sided comments.
Just thought I'd let you lot know it's pretty gruesome the way so-called BBC males post. Certainly, not much different to the white males. It's brash and pretty shallow.
As for Gok Wan, well we can't all agree on everything, otherwise the blog will start to sound repetitive. Jury's out on this presenter anyway. I never for once considered him the lifeblood of BBC community, but felt he "was a start" which really means how slow and backwards BBCs have progressed over our time here. SF.
Obviously its the directness of our male opinions that makes you want to post here in the first place. If we were a bunch of apologising kowtowists wouldnt be as much of an intellectual challenge for you right?
Would be nice if you could write an article on BBC males or FOB males btw.
Or even Chinese men or white men. Potentially very interesting to read from a female perspective.
Happybritishchinese, It seems that you need to open a Google account or something. Is there some other way around this? I'm losing my broadband from after this weekend and very unlikely to have access for around 2 weeks. So still debating on whether to wait for two weeks later.
Also, it seems really complicated. When I start threads, it's usually a title and an opening statement of what I want to discuss. Over here, you have to get pictures, and facts and figures. To be honest it seems a little too serious. I believe that interesting conversations can form naturally from topics. SF.
'Start threads' This obviously doesnt work like British Chinese online or Dimsum forums. The easiest thing I find is:
1. choose your topic that poses a question. 2. as im beginning to find out, write tightly around that question 3. have a conclusion that, having explored the issue presents a for/against dilemma that sets the stage for debate
email it to : bbczeitgeist@hotmail.co.uk
Ask BBCz to find you a pic, or if he has no time, he can ask me and we can get it approved by you. Alternatively, just let us find a relevant pic that will set the tone.
Agreed that interesting conversations flow naturally, one trick I use, which sometimes works is, instead of responding to someone in a comment, once you have written that reply, cut and paste it into a word doc. and then tailor it to fit the above steps 1-3.
If you've never written an article before, now's the time to start, dont predetermine everything, as you say just go with the flow. Use the 2 weeks as a deadline to get your articles finished and emailed to the blog.
Thanks for the advice. I will start that very soon. Hopefully, one of my topics will get published. Not sure that BBCZeigeist will get them publish though. He seems obsessed with BBCs and FOBs marrying outside of their race. Plus there's a strong underlying tone on this blog that says Chinese women are "jeen guk", wonder if you know what I mean by that? A very negative word. SF.
View any criticism as making you a better writer, and be appreciative that someone would take the time to read your work, just the same that others would leave comments too.
Maybe by having your opinion published, you can encourage more BBC women to be more outspoken on here.
Like I said, from me, I would try to be fair, and show courtesy towards your opinion. It's a lot easier to write an anonymous comment, but to get up on that stage and present it as an article for people to attack/berate/argue, is a good test of confidence.Just be bold and write it.
And IMO regardless If Chinese women are seen as Jeen Guk, as a fellow BBC with political conscience, which you seem to have otherwise you wouldnt bother spending so much time posting on here, that shouldn't bother you, like I say, my best advice: dont premeditate, just do it.
Hope to see my topics soon Happybritishchinese. BBC women fall into two categories. The previleged who have moved up the the social ladder either through education/career choice or marrying into white middle-class families, or the second category where they carry no interest in their own background and heritage, preferring to blend in with the crowds, often joining in with the low-grade trashy culture of acting silly and being ignorants. Since it is cool to be that way, any other way just seems abnormal nowadays. I feel I'm neither of them, so hope to open up an avenue for those who really want to delve into the average BBC's mind. SF.
MEN WANT MEAT,DOGS LIKE BONES. Most women in the world are below 5'7"! models arent known for beauty! they look like 7 foot tall teenage boys.Look up marilyn monroe, vida guerra, kim kardashain, shakira,Marika fruscio, mulher melao, mayra veronica, coco austin,Sarah lime,Monica santiago,Arab, latina, italian, armenian, etc women! all these women are not tall I listed either!! actually, shorter women have more estrogen which explains curves! ppl need to stop with these ugly crackhead 7 foot tall models!
Im sick and tired of fat big girls and skinny girls calling themselves curvy! YOU ARE NOT CURVY! CURVY IS SPECIFIC! Small waist, big butt, wide hips, thighs, breasts is curvy! not a crackhead model or a skinny female flatter than a surfboard or a round ball with no waist! stop calling yourself curvy when ur body is nowhere near curvy1 ur no marilyn monroe, coco austin, vida guerra, renatta frisson, andressa soares, mayra veronica! STOP IT
Hahahaha surprised by this topic so thought i had to comment. Firstly i have to say as i am white British and not Asian, but i happen to love Asia and have an Asian focused website. From my perspective it makes no difference what ethnicity a person is, you have attractive Chinese, Japanese, Russian, British, American girls etc. While you also have incredibly ugly Chinese, Japanese, Russian, British, American girls etc. There happens to be many mixed raced Chinese women who are incredibly beautiful, in the same equal balance to white women or Chinese women. I have seen many short chubby Chinese girls in the same way i have seen many short chubby white girls. A large percentage of the problem happens to be the cultural difference. Many British born Chinese happen to have grown up in the British culture and adopted British customs. In my eyes none British born Chinese women are far more attractive, because you dont find the fake tan and overdone make that a lot of British girls in the British culture have. That does not mean that British Chinese women are less attractive because attraction is in the eye of the beholder. However, from a personal perspective i like girls to look feminine and find most English girls unattractive. However, that does not mean they are unattractive, it just means that some of them can be unattractive in my eyes.
"because you dont find the fake tan and overdone make up that a lot of British girls in the British culture have."
no, you just have the fake bleaching of their skin, eye tapes to make their eyes look bigger, or worse eyelid surgery and nose straightening surgery, whilst dressing like a prostitute moreso than an average white british girl with forced attitudes that are more friendly to the white male so they can have half white children and thus destroy their identity.
BBCs girls can be pretty or ugly, you have to be shallow if you think all BBC guys can only think in extremes, btw BBC girls can be very shallow as well who can't have an intelligent conversation, unless it is associated about plastic surgery, make up or LV bags etc i.e issues about trying to looking pretty, for men.

ReplyDeleteThere are no white male chinese female couples that are hot looking.
spot on
Deletehaha, thats probably true, I've never seen a hot WM/CF married couple either.
DeleteIsn't this rather sexist? There are pretty BBC girls, too.
ReplyDeleteTwo aesthetically good looking parents do not necessarily produce good looking children, besides the problem still remains that for every BBC female that marries a non-chinese, BBC males have to follow suit (or marry a FOB)thus the dilution spirals out of control. Discussed here
Deletehttp://bbczeitgeist.blogspot.com/2010/08/self-hating-chinese-women-part-3.html
I don't think BBC males and BBC females are attracted to each other.
Why is it sexist to make a comparison? They want to be judged them on their appearance.
All beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
ReplyDeleteAnd besides LOOKS y'know fade over time so is it really a good foundation in which to make a relationship? Are you all so shallow?
And for everything else there is photoshop/make up
The want to be judged on their appearance, have you seen how many BBC girls go clubbing these days?
DeleteUglyness imo is not looks - its the personality. If they have a nice personality itll shin through the layers of make up foundation.
DeleteAnother thing is the ability to debate.
ReplyDeleteBrucie bonus marrying a white male gives the older gen of BBC female some kind of bourgouisis white privelige. Hence cake recipies and all the rubbish they discuss on dim sum and the like.
DeleteOnce they are protected and safe in their white world bubble they are free to look at other Chinese as 'exotic' because they are now removed from the culture, and can basically behave like a white bourgoisis. and without any serious respect for Chinese culture, Hapas are brought up to behave the same way.
adulation of western culture teaches all chinese to see their culture as orientalised once they have married out, left, etc etc.
white is normal.
And yes, I agree. Plain selfish.
DeleteHAHAHAHAHA !
ReplyDeleteI knew this would come up and I'm glad.
Euro-Chinese girls are NO MATCH for pure Chinese girls.
I did a whole topic on stormfront, with pics of all our great PRC/HK/TWN sisters vs, pariahs like Kristen Kruek, Kyoko Altman, Maggie Q, and so on.
no f'g match at all !
See all a matter of perception, 20 years ago with no access to the FE media, many were unable to see our own people portrayed by our own selves.
The Jew controlled images of Chinese and they are never flatering.
But the best thing about all this is it shows WHO'S TESTIS THESE BEAUTIES EMANATE FROM ????
HAHAHAHA - YOU GOT IT THE GOOD OL 'CHINAMAN '
women shi yiting henhao, women tangren liangde !
C4C
Well, Chinese men in general aren't much better looking whether BBC or 'FOB' so I guess it goes both ways. Are you surprised why so many Chinese women go for white men... they're usually better looking and I haven't heard any of them compare BBC and 'FOB' women the way they have been on here.
ReplyDeletebut chinese women seldom attract the 'good looking' white men, they usually attract the nerdy geeky ones or the much older ugly ones who look much older than their actual age. I've never seen a Chinese female White male hot couple in my life.
DeleteI think most hot white guys would probably choose hot white girls as they tend to have better bodies and are more sexy than chinese in general. Back to my main point, more often than not, even the nerdy geeky white dude is better looking than the average Chinese guy.

DeleteSubmit an article, troll.
haha, genuine offer! Although, I think they need to take a look at obesity statistics of Caucasians, its not a pretty sight.
DeleteFunny how it's OK for you to compare BBC and 'FOB' women but take offence when men are compared.
Deletehttp://bbczeitgeist.blogspot.com/2010/08/why-its-impossible-for-me-to-marry.html#uds-search-results
"...the least desirable men are Asian."
If you are offended, I am sure so are the many BBC girls that have been dissed on here and of course like you, I am generalising.
This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

I will publish the article if they submit it, lets see if they have the courage to take up the challenge.
I'm gay so I don't pay attention to straight culture enough. I have seen pretty white guys dating chinese guys. I have never seen a gay black guy in real life, or a white guy dating a black guy, in London.
DeleteDon't be so against BBC.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, women AND men should not be so superficial about beauty. yes, beauty is subjective etc. but also not as relevant to keeping our identity, as rare as it is, in a predominately westernised and subtlety Chinese hating region of the world...this means that men AND women should be sticking up for our race when it is attacked - not shying away from the issue like you see 99% of the time.
DeleteBTW, you raise good points, I will cover shying away from racism and white worship in my next article. Incidently, you can also contribute articles, just email an article to the email address on my profile and I'll publish it in your name.
Yeah right. Black people are one of THE only people who have the guts to confront racism and White supremacy.
Deleteha ha ha....touched a nerve?.....albeit a small one.
ReplyDeleteyep its your braincell, try not to overtax it otherwise itll pop like a zit.
DeleteSigh...judging women purely on the basis of appearance? Why is this even an article...
ReplyDeleteWhat is wrong with judging women on their appearance?
DeleteThat leads you judge a man on appearances, a couple on appearance, and explains why you notice Chinese women with not-so-hot white. Guess they see what's inside a man. probably also turn to judge hot guys' superficial hotness rarely runs deep.
DeleteOk, for a start the video in the beginning is a load of rubbish. Some of the BBC girls were just as pretty as the pure Chinese girls!
ReplyDeleteBeing mixed does not make you ugly!
DeleteBy the way... you go on about BBC's not being pretty blah blah blah, when infact they are. That video was obviously selective as all the 'FOB's were modelling poses whereas others were webcam pictures (and were still pretty). But if two FOBs are living in UK and have a child, their child wont be a FOB, it will be a BBC. So are you going to hate your own child?
ReplyDeleteThat's the childs problem and whoever finds him or her attractive. This article is not about hate. Please. I wish you all the best in China. Be strong. And confident. Not like us self-hating Chinese. And dont forget to save face. Lots of it.
DeleteWhat a ridiculous and offensive post to 'FOBS', 'BBCs' and women. Controversial? Yes. Relevant? No.
ReplyDeleteLooks like someone has something against BBC women.
Omg this is SO ridiculous how is it that no one has yet pointed out that it is immensely subjective and also that every "Fob" picture used was a picture of a model whereas every "BBC" picture used was not! Seriously just laughable...
ReplyDeleteAs a first time visitor to the site I was deciding whether to revisit, but if 'BBCZeitgeist' is the administrator.. then no thanks. I would of thought the admin would be more respectable.
ReplyDeleteperhaps with BBC girls being mostly of cantonese ancestry? cantonese clan are the aesthetically least liked among all chinese. within china, the connotations tagged with cantonese are hardly ever on the positive, be it the language(unpleasant to ear), physical features(short, stout, darker, wide flat nose, thick lips, big jaw), manner(loud and rough), mindset(simplistic, shallow, obsessed with only food and money). the warm weather in the south makes evolution slower there than in the north. less evolved = aesthetically less appealing, for both look and brain.
ReplyDeletethe fact that the first few few generation of overseas chinese aound the world are of cantonese origin has a lot to do with them being the less competitive log and being driven to leave their homeland to seek better oppotunities elsewhere. generally speaking, chinese is not a migratory race and is reluctant to leave home for adventure unless being desperate. tne ancestors of many overseas cantonese actually represent the lowest level of human resource of china at their time.
Deletecheck the following to see if warm weather dumbs brain.
Deletehttp://rspb.royalsocietypublishing.org/content/277/1697/3187.full.pdf
http://wolfweb.unr.edu/homepage/vpravosu/papers/Chancellor_etal_2011DevelNeurobiol.pdf
brain and look go hand in hand which is why the mentally challenged rarely (if ever) looks appealing.
the weak is vulnerable to be victimized but if cantonese cannot cope with the truth, and feel victimized by the truth, they can have my sympathy and thats about it.
If you want to engage in some pathetic history of china, history of China's linguistics and history of China's migration 'fight,' I suggest you take your FOB issues to a China blog or China forum. This is not a China blog, this is a BBC blog, it has nothing to do with those issues.
DeleteIts so transparent what your agenda is and why you're posting on here. You're clearly only posting on here to attack Cantonese in the hope of engaging someone who is Cantonese into a fight.
Warning: If you persist on posting any new comments attacking Cantonese, I will remove ALL your existing posts for trolling violation.
http://bbczeitgeist.blogspot.co.uk/p/general-rules-for-posting-comments.html
u speak as if u r wearing moral high heel. racism(anti-white) is a key note of this blog, as least its how i have sensed it.
ReplyDeletepart of ur identity includes chinese right? why would china or chinese history be out of place here? my comment is totally relevant here and pins the key why overseas chinese decendants(mostly of cantonese origin) appear to be less attractive.
a rotten and corrupt regime also cannot cope with truth which is why they exercise vigorous censorship to stop truth from being unfold. delete as u wish. this is ur backyard.
Racism by Whites on Chinese has a fundamental impact on Chinese diaspora as we live in an western country as minority Ethnic Chinese, we have to react to it.
DeleteHowever, China or China's history, has little relevance to BBCs unless it has impact on the Chinese in the UK - which is usually sinophobia related.
ReplyDeleteBBC ladies tend to be more toned down and tanned.
Nice change, a female perspective with a considered opinion.
DeleteAnd I hope a change for the better. Some of the other discussions often descend into one-liners purely for insulting. Having said that, this kind of topic is worth discussing, because it touches on culture and the outcome.
ReplyDeleteMen's taste in women and what they really feel when they see new arrivals in the shape of rich princesses coming here to study and economic migrants who may have another agenda when arriving here.
DeleteI agree the female perspective will be very interesting and provide a different insight, but you're not going to get much of a comparison between the two groups of females as they dont mix, they don't really know much about each other.
ReplyDeleteHer parents were quite wealthy and from what I heard, her parents were funding her education to the tune of around £20,000 per year.
Delete1. UK has lots of dairy. That usually adds to our weight issues. Ok in your words - Fat
ReplyDelete2. The pictures of FOBs in the vid were either airbrushed or used super skinny models. Plus lighting. Plus makeup. Plus unnatural hair. Never heard of a Chinese girl with semi ginger hair unless she was albino or what you call an ugly cross breed
7. Certain parts of this world tend to view the Jewish and Chinese culture as quite similiar
8. BBCs have time to hate other BBCs. If they do it's through reading articles such as this one.
9. Kristine Kruek versus short alpha far eastern fella with glasses and bowl haircut whose idea of casual dressing is a flannel shirt, baseball cap and jeans from Asda. I think we know who wins in the looks department hands down
Please tell me the relevance Kirstin Kreuk and Karen Mok who are both eurasian (one is North American) have on an article on BBC vs FOB?
DeleteI can't stay away from this topic really.
ReplyDeleteThere is no doubt they have far milkier tones (my mother would love that) that shows grace and femininity according to old-school Chinese.
DeleteMainland student female FOBS dress downwards, similar to BBCs, Southern mainlanders tend to wear black.Hong Kong females with their red-dyed haired black t-shirted black jeaned boyfriends in London ive noticed wear legging stockings, and pink stripe t-shirts,and on a hot sunny day, a few looking a bit punky like that early 2000's male/female couple band the White Stripes.
ReplyDeleteMy opinions FOBs go wrong when they don't wear their age such as not giving up the student hoodies look, or the older triady types who still trying hard to be bad "boyband".
DeleteFunny thing is I did see some BBC couples in town, months back, younger couples with crazy bleach blonde hair punk style and white vest tops, Bad boyband style.
ReplyDeleteVery often, humility is part of the fashion culture here.
DeleteI agree FOB women want to be noticed but like I think i said students ( FOB and BBC) tend to play it down.
ReplyDeleteJust thought I'd let you lot know it's pretty gruesome the way so-called BBC males post.
DeleteWould be nice if you could write an article on BBC males or FOB males btw.
ReplyDeleteAlso, it seems really complicated.
Delete1. choose your topic that poses a question.
2. as im beginning to find out, write tightly around that question
3. have a conclusion that, having explored the issue presents a for/against dilemma that sets the stage for debate
email it to : bbczeitgeist@hotmail.co.uk
SF.
DeleteView any criticism as making you a better writer, and be appreciative that someone would take the time to read your work, just the same that others would leave comments too.
DeleteMaybe by having your opinion published, you can encourage more BBC women to be more outspoken on here.
DeleteHope to see my topics soon Happybritishchinese. SF.
ReplyDeleteMEN WANT MEAT,DOGS LIKE BONES.
ReplyDeleteIm sick and tired of fat big girls and skinny girls calling themselves curvy!
ReplyDeleteSpoken like a true weeaboo
Delete"because you dont find the fake tan and overdone make up that a lot of British girls in the British culture have."
Deleteno, you just have the fake bleaching of their skin, eye tapes to make their eyes look bigger, or worse eyelid surgery and nose straightening surgery, whilst dressing like a prostitute moreso than an average white british girl with forced attitudes that are more friendly to the white male so they can have half white children and thus destroy their identity.
nothing fake about that
Hey im a BBC girl and you guys think im ugly? :( many people says my pretty but then we all have different taste :(
ReplyDeleteim*
ReplyDeleteBBCs girls can be pretty or ugly, you have to be shallow if you think all BBC guys can only think in extremes, btw BBC girls can be very shallow as well who can't have an intelligent conversation, unless it is associated about plastic surgery, make up or LV bags etc i.e issues about trying to looking pretty, for men.
Deletelol, how many BBC girls do you know? sounds like you are a bbc yourself.
ReplyDeleteI may be shallow but I can have an intelligent conversation
yeah, oxymoron...
Deletewe can't judge each other when we don't know each other ..... anyway
