Three Ways to Rob a Chinese Takeaway

Three recent press articles highlighting robberies against Chinese Takeaways.

1. THROW ROCKS AT THE STAFF
MISSILES were thrown at an assistant in a Chinese takeaway by three masked robbers. They hurled rocks and a bottle at the man behind the counter of the Ho Ho restaurant in Lister Road, Atherstone. He escaped into a backroom and the offenders, wearing dark clothing and with their faces covered, stole the till drawer containing a small amount of cash before running off in an unknown direction.

2. 'QUICK, HE'S NOT LOOKING'
Police are appealing for witnesses to a theft that took place at the Chinese takeaway on the High Street in Long Sutton on Saturday night. At approx 11.30pm, a man entered the shop and ordered food. A police spokesman said: “Whilst the server’s back was turned, the offender reached over the counter and grabbed the drawer from the till before running from the shop.”

3. MURDER THE STAFF
The murder of a Chinese businessman 16 years ago is to feature on tonight's BBC Crimewatch programme. Simon Tang, 28, who was married with two sons, was beaten and robbed as he left his takeaway business in Carrickfergus on 24 June 1996. It is thought that two youths attacked him and stole less than £400 and his watch. He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries. No-one has been charged with the murder. PSNI Detective Inspector Peter Montgomery who is involved in the Crimewatch appeal said:
"This was a racist attack on a decent man going about his lawful business. It robbed Simon Tang of his life and it deprived his family of the love and support they deserve."

    1. Yes, but as long as it doesnt affect us, so who cares?

  2. This is yet another specious piece of nonsense from the maestro. What about the thousands of attacks and robberies that take place on non-Chinese owned businesses every year? Only the last article could possibly be considered relevant, and that happened 16 years ago. Silly, silly.

    1. Its relevant, the case was re-opened, the appeal was on national TV yesterday. However, this is irrelevant : 'thousands of attacks and robberies that take place on non-Chinese owned businesses every year?'

This is a niche ethnic Chinese blog that only promotes Chinese issues and interests, non-chinese businesses are not my concern.

    2. exactly, stop trying to divert attention. Classic white strategy. Another one is "well they do it too!"

  3. Ah, don't be so disingenuous Zeity. The tone of your comments directly implies that there's some sort of racially-motivated conspiracy behind the attacks. The main reason you don't dwell on attacks on non-Chinese businesses is because they would blow your racist theories out of the water. :D

    1. why do you dwell on a bbc blog when you have nothing to debate? are you a sour grapes hapa on a mission?

    2. My reply to anonymous troll was a standard reply. Quite an imagination they must have to be able to discern any kind of conspiracy or tone from that. It says more about their agenda than mine! Their agenda is to downplay/deny all racism against the Chinese by the White public. The troll especially loves posting comments denying all forms of white racism against the Chinese catering industry. They did the same on the policewoman Scottish restaurant article. Angry troll back for more!

    3. Rather than troll, if you feel strongly about something, why don't you write an article instead and I'll publish it?

    4. The reason we don't mention attacks on non Chinese businesses is because this is a blog about ethnic Chinese concerns in Britain...

  4. This kind of news makes me feel furious and sad at the same time. Here we have honest hardworking Chinese families working God knows all hours to save money and send home too, and instead they get robbed and beaten up by lazy white people who lounge about watching reality TV and living off the dole.

    Makes me truly sick.

    1. whereas if we went on benefits and bred like rabbits, we'd be living in 7 bedroom houses off the state... no one would rob us know, because we'd be at home all the time instead of working our socks off...

    1. 'The woman was arrested in Carrickfergus and has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite in Antrim town.

...The woman was later released pending further police inquiries.'

WTF . is that normal procedure to hold someone for a serious murder case and then release them ?
